HI David- I am sorry you're having difficulty finding our product 19. It isn't sold in all stores, as you've noticed. Visit Where to Buy for more information. If you still can't find any near you, similar products you may wish to try are Special K® Original and Corn Flakes®.
    • Excuse me Jessica, I am sorry to 'necro' your post but you are sorely mistaken. Special K and Corn Flakes are not suitable substitutes. As far as finding Product 19, we ask for it, stores stock it for a couple of months and then quit.

I am sorry but Special K tastes exactly like the cardboard box it comes in to my family. I used to buy Kellogg's Corn Flakes until, on the sixth or seventh spoonful they had turned into mush.

It would be ever so lovely if your sales force would recommend this product to store managers again. Since they aren't listening to us, maybe they will listen to you.

At least now we know it has not been discontinued, it's just being pushed aside by even Kellogg's own other brands. Thanks.
    • FYI to Kellogg's.......still able to buy it on Amazon at the moment. NO other Kellogg product compares. When I can no longer purchase it online, I will never spend money on another Kellogg, Keebler, Town House, PopTart, etc... product again.

  • Hi! I live in Los Angeles, and can only find Product 19 in one local supermarket - for $5.79! Why is this particular cereal so hard to find, and so expensive?

    • Allen- Because of the small, yet devoted fan-base of Product 19, it is often hard for stores to justify a lot of shelf space for it. While we would love for stores to give it more space, it is not always possible.
    • It's not the stores fault. You guys don't advertise or promote it either. No coupons, never listed as one of the eligible cereals to use a coupon with and never advertised.

  • I’m Very upset that it is unavailable in my area.
Product 19 is a GREAT cereal. It is actually the only cereal I eat. I live in Lucedale, MS and work in Mobile, AL and NO ONE sells it anymore. Why does Walmart no longer carry it... Or Winn Dixie, Target, Publix or any number of other grocery stores. It is crazy that this cereal can't be found but all kinds of sugary, marhmellowy, quick to get soggy, not as good a flavor cereals are sold everywhere. Any ideas where I might find this cereal locally or why it can't be found? We shouldn't have to beg to buy your product. The cereal is VERY difficult to find. If Kellogg's would like to continue selling the product it needs to be available. I keep seeing the suggestion to check Where To Buy... That search only searches up to 30 miles, maybe that needs to not have a mile limitation. Obviously people want this cereal. You guys sure don't make it easy to find. A VERY disappointed customer.

  • I have looked on your website at "where to buy" and Product 19 was not listed. We don't like other corn flake cereals, they get soggy to quickly. Please bring Product 19 back to all stores and lower the price. The last time I bought it, I paid almost 5.00, that is to much for a box of cereal. We have asked our local stores to carry it and they won't. You had a place on your web site at one time for the public to buy hard to find products, please bring it back.

    Thank you,
    Luann

  • Thanks for being a fan of Product 19, Luann. We are still making this cereal. It has limited distribution so not all stores
may carry it. Stores carry our products based on demand, other options are the on-line options listed above.

  • I’m angry
Netgrocer is out of stock. Amazon wants like 8 bucks a box when you get the packs...

I'm sorry, but i dont see how there can be a demand created for the cereal if you refuse to try to stock it in the stores. Like many people here, I agree that Special K and all the other suggestions are disgusting substitutes to the unique flavor and long lasting crunch that Product 19 gave. If you're going to manufacture something, why not sell it?! I look in every store in several states that I ever visit and can never find it! At least pick one retail chain to try and push the product at so we know where to look. This is ridiculous.

But I know this post wont change anything, and if you respond its the same Thank You for liking our product, blah blah blah.

I too am a long time fan of Product 19 -- it stays crunchy and tastes great. It is the only cereal my extended family eats (more than 30 people). When I find some I share it with all. I have had a case subscription on Amazon but it is often out of stock or too expensive. I also ordered from buythecase, net until they went out of business. One regional grocer 20 miles away had it and I bought out the shelf - they no longer carry it. When it is unavailable, we do NOT eat cereal. The other brands you recommend are NOTHING like Product 19 -- soggy and disgusting. Please make this more easily available at a reasonable price even if t is just online.

  • All our local Giant and Wegmans stores around Howard County, Maryland, usually carry it, but for the last week every store has been out. I see the spot for it is still there on the shelves so hopefully it will be back soon? We go through this almost every year and each time it makes me very nervous. I've been eating this cereal almost every day since I was a toddler 40 years ago....

  • Urmi you and I must shop in the same places. LOL However the Giants I've gone to have put new Kellogg cereals in the spot where Product 19 use to be. I sure hope it comes back. It's the only cereal I eat.

  • OK, it's back in stock at the Giant stores, and Wegmans says they'll have it by this coming Tuesday. It is a different shaped box now, taller and skinnier than it was a couple of weeks ago when the disappearance happened, but it is still $3.99 for 12oz. I am really happy and won't be on this discussion any more, hopefully, for a long time. Best of luck to all of you!

  • I’m Pissed
So.... Product 19 is not sold within 30 miles of Austin, Tx. Also sold out on amazon, net grocer, and the other online sites listed on the kelloggs find the product page don't even list it as out of stock; it's just not there. Found a 4 pack from a private seller on amazon at $8 a box plus $10 shipping (that's a solid $10.50 per box). oh, and reviews said the expiration date on the boxes were 2013, but not to worry 'cause they are still good). I find it hard to believe kelloggs is making this cereal any any real quantities.

  • I’m confused
I have been trying for a few weeks, at a Shop & Stop LISTED on the "buy here" page. At first, it just wasn't on the shelf. Nothing in storage.
Then, I noticed a markered in "D" on the shelf item tag. I checked with Customer Service, in the store. They said it was a Kellogg's Discontinued item.
I have been getting it in the same store for Years. I like that it has all those vitamins, without the (literal) sugar-coating, of most of the others.
    IS it discontinued, or NOT???
If it wasn't being sold, you would think they would have LOADS of boxes they would Want to get rid of (at the Shop & Stop).

  • I’m frustrated, disappointed & angry
Since I was a child, now 45, my family and I have enjoyed eating Product 19, and in recent years that simple enjoyment is getting harder and harder to fulfill. Like everyone else that has posted to this topic, in Central Cali, in fact in all of California, it cannot be found either, and this is the only cereal we eat. For almost a year I had 2 Amazon subscriptions for Product 19, now, received an email from Amazon that their stock is depleted. I am very, very, very disappointed that I can’t walk into my local grocery store and purchase a box. There are over 385 types of breakfast cereals sold in the USA, is it that hard to keep Product 19 in stock in at least one major grocery store? Give me a freak-in break!!! It's not like I live in the middle of the Sahara desert. There is a demand out there. If Kellogg's doesn't plan on advertising it and selling it in stores and Instead of telling people "where to buy", which leads nowhere, how about selling it straight from kelloggs.com and charging a reasonable price for it, that way Kellogg's would know their exact demand and produce and store accordingly. That would stop some sellers on Amazon from selling them for upwards of $12.00 a box, that's ridiculous. Help us out Kellogg's!

  • Heard from a Customer Rep at a store that Had been selling, that Kellogg's is making a NEW BOX for Product 19, which is why there is NOTHING in the OLD box coming out (???)
Is the box bigger? Smaller? Curved corners? Round????
    Will we have a 2014 box? A 2015 box? 2016??
Will there be a BIG "blurb" on the box: "NEW BOX, Same Cereal"?
Hey!! Maybe there will be MORE cereal in the box??

I've been looking for Product 19 and have not been able to find it. I've searched the Where to Buy both for my metro Detroit address (48307) and my parents Battle Creek address (49014) and there is nothing. I would think that close to Kellogg in Battle Creek you should be able to find everything, but no. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I’m Glad, but Still Puzzeled.
Just went to my local Stop & Shop. They HAD Product 19, on the shelf!!
Brought it home to see What the Difference WAS. Hmm.. Slightly different size now. SAME Net Wt (12 oz, 340g). SAME pictures on ALL sides (except Slightly different layout of the Nutrition charts because it was slightly Thinner).
    Old box: Width-7 1/2, Thickness-2 1/2, Height-10 3/4
    New box: Width-8 3/4, Thickness-2 1/8, Height-11 3/4
The New box is slightly wider. Slightly thinner. Slightly taller.
NOTHING on the box of "New Size".
So..... Just trying to figure out WHY this was done. Same amount of Actual product. SAME Price. Same artwork on the box.
Production had to be STOPPED, on this, for a minimal BOX change?? If I hadn't COMPARED the Old box and the New, I might NOT have Noticed the difference. So, a change for consumer psychological reasons?? Probably not (????). Changing some mathematics of Shelf Spacing???
The box Never seems to be Full, up to the top, so the thickness could have been made less, without having to change the Other dimensions (???).
Oh well. Glad that the product IS back. Are the individual flakes the Same size? Haven't checked yet. According to the pictures, it is STILL the Same Color (???)

I have been ordering 12 boxes a month for many years, since no stores in my state carry it. Amazon has been out of Product 19 for two months now. When will Kellogg's ship more to Amazon?

I have found that Special K Multi-Grain is a passible substitute. Not the regular Special K that tastes like cardboard, but the Multi-Grain version is very similar to Product 19.

Thanks for posting, everyone! Product 19 has a very limited distribution. We did not stop production on it for a box change and it is not being discontinued. I will be more than happy to let my distribution team know you are all having difficulty finding it. Thanks for being fans of Kellogg's!

  • Best thing I know to do is hit them where it hurts. Stop buying alternate cardboard tasting soggy messy goop. My alternate now will be Bacon and eggs with a waffle and syrup. When sales drop, the "team" will take notice as this is a threat to their being on the "team"

  • Just went Yesterday to the same Stop & Shop where I was able to purchase a few weeks ago. Spot on shelf with the Product 19 sticker was EMPTY to the back. Other shelves were Full of other cereals.
Either the store is NOT Re-Stocking fast enough, or Kelloggs is NOT SHIPPING it fast enough. Either way, it sounds like there are enough people who WANT this, to EMPTY the shelf quicker than other items next to it. Isn't that why Kelloggs made the box Taller and Slimmer (SAME weight); to fit MORE boxes on the shelves???
